Watford and District synagogue, known affectionately by its members as 'WADS', is part of the United Synagogue and serves the Jewish community of Watford, Bushey, Croxley & Rickmansworth and surrounding areas of Hertfordshire & North West London.
Watford is just 20 minutes by train from London Euston to Watford Junction. It has quick easy access to London's Heathrow, Luton & Stansted airports, and enjoys excellent road transport links via the M1, A41 and M25. We are also well served with access to London by tube trains on the Metropolitan line and London Overground.
Watford is an incredibly welcoming, warm, friendly & caring community. Regular and varied activities take place in the Synagogue and cater for all age groups. We have a lovely modern shul which has the benefit of air conditioning.
The synagogue is situated in a charming, leafy residential area known as Nascot Wood, and has great recreational and shopping facilities. Watford is renowned for the quality of its education, with private and local authority (including grammar) schools, of the highest standard.
Our synagogue is a community, but more commonly described as a family and we welcome visitors and new members and encourage everyone to participate.
Come and join us for a Shabbat, or one of our events, and see why WADS is such a happy place.
